Training with Network
Network Training is an ecumenical Christian training organization which offers a broad range of well-established part time courses for those who wish to develop their listening, counselling and supervision skills. These include:
-
introductory courses in basic listening and counselling skills
- substantial Higher Education certificate and diploma level courses in Christian person-centred counselling
- a continuing professional development programme of short courses and workshops for qualified counsellors on a range of specialist topics
Our courses will be of interest not only to those wishing to train as counsellors or supervisors, but also to those wishing to develop their listening, counselling or supervisory skills for use in other roles and settings such as pastoral care, nursing or teaching.
The ethos and core values of the courses are Christian and person-centred and our particular interest as a training organization lies in the integration of Christian faith and counselling practice.
All of our courses are based in Bristol, England. The training sessions are held in our training premises at Wesley College, situated in Henbury, Bristol
Why train with Network?
University validation
We train in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire and our certificate and diploma level counselling courses are all validated by the University.
Placement
As we run our own counselling agency, we are able to offer our diploma students a placement with Network Counselling for the duration of their training. This includes the provision of free supervision.
Staff-student ratio
We are able to offer an excellent staff-student ratio which, particularly in relation to our certificate and diploma level courses, is significantly higher than many other comparable courses.
